When we arrived at the hotel the clerk kept us standing for 45 minutes to check in. She finally said their computer had been hacked and someone else took over our reservation (which I had paid for in full two weeks earlier, with no cancellation available). A manager let us in anyway and apologized for their error. I did not sleep well that night, worrying how badly my credit card might have been scammed. Then, back at home, I closed my credit card and ordered a new one with a different number. I've stayed in many hotels over the years and this is the worst experience I have ever had!

This was a great hotel near the highway. The room was big and clean. It was recently upgraded. The bed comfortable. Staff were friendly. Breakfast had a variety of options. Price was reasonable. We will be back.

The Only Place I Stay While in Fishkill, NY

Over the past several years, during spring break I have hosted a trip to take college students to volunteer at StonyKill Farm to support the farm's clean-up. Since this trip is overnight I have usually stayed at the Quality Inn, however this year we stayed at the Comfort Suites. One of the main reasons we decided to stay at this hotel was because of the pool. This year April 6th-7th, I traveled with 18 students 2 staff members and a bus driver and they all agreed they loved their experience. The rooms, were spacious, clean and comfortable. I would certainly recommend this hotel for groups because check-in was made easy and seamless in under 5 minutes (I provided the list of all the guests and the breakdown of the rooms days prior and the hotel assigned them to rooms and provided me with a printed copy of the room assignments during check-in). The pool is open until 10pm, which was a great treat for the students and in the morning we enjoyed a continental breakfast. Did I also mention their is complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate all day? When I am in Fishkill, NY I will only stay at either the Quality Inn or Comfort Suites. And I have to give a special shoutout to Leah (manager) who works with me to provide the best experience year after year and never disappoints! I can't wait until next year! <3

Strange experience. The hotel seems to be relatively new, but the furniture seems to be dinged up, as if it were from an older hotel. It even seemed that one of the drawers might have been missing from the chest of drawers. Our room was on the first floor and practically underground. Cell service was unusable, and Wi-Fi was pathetic. The place seemed clean when we walked in… except for a wet towel, not damp, lying on the desk. Scary. In the middle of the night, a very strong smell of skunk pervaded the room. It was so intense that I was afraid our clothes and luggage would smell skunky. It was really bad. Luckily, our clothes and luggage survived. By morning, the smell only lingered slightly in the air. Another oddity was that the included “hot breakfast “ was a box of Jimmy Dean egg and cheese muffins with a “please only take one”notice. As others have mentioned, the coffee was dispensed from a machine and wasn’t very good. Most disappointing breakfast. I think I understand why I got such a good price using the Comfort Inn app. It beat the Hotwire “unnamed hotel” rate by about 20 bucks—and the Hotwire “named” rate by nearly 90.
